Welcome to Elite Edge Learn to Skate! 

Designed for all ages and abilities, our professional coaching staff provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment where beginner skaters can learn to skate or continue developing their skills. Whether you are taking your first steps on the ice, or an aspiring hockey player or figure skater, we offer progressive levels to help all skaters grow and succeed! Our goal is to help your young skaters progress to our learn to play program and beyond. Our staff is dedicated in helping you navigate your on-ice experience inside and outside of our walls!   • If your skater is 6 years old or younger and a first time skater, please select Snowplow Sam 1 at registration.   
  • If your skater is 7 years old or older and a first time skater, please select Basic 1 at registration. 
  • If you are unsure of your child’s skating level, please reach out to Freya Lamb for assistance. 
  • Skates are not included or provided. Check out our recommended skates for beginner skaters! 
  • All skaters must wear a helmet. 
  • We accept skaters 3 years old and up!  
  • Our program is affiliated with Learn to Skate USA and requires all skaters to register with Learn to Skate USA and affiliate themselves with The Elite Edge Learn to Skate Academy. At a young age, Freya Lamb found her love for coaching and began learning under established and experienced USFSA coaches! She has over a decade of experience in coaching Learn to Skate USA, freestyle skills, skating skills, and synchronized skating! 

Freya Lamb is the Figure Skating Director at The Campus Chester County. In 2023, Freya Lamb started The Campus Stars FSC and The Campus Constellations Synchronized Skating Teams. She currently works with a variety of private lesson students in skill and age, successfully guiding them through USFSA tests and competitions! Freya’s coaching mission is to start skaters on their skating journeys, build confidence in her students, and make skating fun for all! In addition to coaching, Freya is a Philadelphia Flyers Ice Girl.

  • Summer session 1: (8 weeks) :
  • Starting June 10th to July 29th on Tuesday Evenings.
  • 5:30pm – 6:00pm : Snowplow Sam 1 – 4
  • 6:00pm – 6:30pm : Basic 1 – 6 
  • $200 per skater 
  • Summer session 2: (6 weeks) :
  • Starting August 5th to September 9th on Tuesday evenings.
  • 5:30pm – 6:00pm : Snowplow Sam 1 – 4
  • 6:00pm – 6:30pm : Basic 1 – 6

REGISTRATION and DESCRIPTION

Snowplow Sam 1 : (Ages 6 and under) Introduction to the ice : learn how to stand up, march in place, march across the ice, and glides. 

Snowplow Sam 2 : (Ages 6 and under) Focus on forward skating and stopping : marching, glides, dips, and learning how to stop. 

Snowplow Sam 3 : (Ages 6 and under) Builds on forward skating with added skills like swizzles, backward wiggles, and glides. 

Snowplow Sam 4 : (Ages 6 and under) Prepares skaters for Basic skill levels with backward skating, turns, and more advanced skills. 

Basic 1 : (Ages 7 and up) Introduction to skating : learn how to stand up, forward skating, gliding, and stopping! 

Basic 2 : (Ages 7 and up) Focus on control and confidence with skills like forward swizzles, backward wiggles, and one foot skating. 

Basic 3 : (Ages 7 and up) Introduction to basic edges, turns, and backward skating. 

Basic 4 : (Ages 7 and up) Builds confidence in forward edges, backward one foot glides, and forward crossovers. 

Basic 5 : (Ages 7 and up) More advanced skating skills including backward crossovers, backward edges, and hockey stops. 

Basic 6 : (Ages 7 and up) The final Learn to Skate level that strengthens fundamental skills and prepares skaters for more specialized disciplines. Includes 3 turns, mohawks, t stops, and more advanced skating skills.
